Unlike the Professional Scrum Master (PSM 1) course, which focuses on the use of Scrum, the Scrum framework and the role of the Scrum Master, PSM II is an advanced course that helps participants understand the attitudes that distinguish an effective Scrum Master while diving deep into how they can support the developers, the product owner and the organization. The course then teaches students related practices and skills so they can have the right types of conversations and apply them to become even better Scrum Masters. Over the two days*, students will learn about areas that are critical to developing as a successful Scrum Master, such as how the principles and values ​​of Scrum support the Scrum Master in their decisions and how the Scrum Master can help shape the Scrum environment - Transform teams to create an environment where agility can thrive. The role of the Scrum Master is complex and often a Scrum Master must be able to apply different viewpoints to be effective, such as: The Scrum Master as teacher The Scrum Master as Coach & Mentor The Scrum Master as a facilitator The Scrum Master as a change agent As a Scrum Master, being able to identify and effectively apply which attitude will benefit your team the most depending on the situation or circumstances could prove to be the key to your team's success. As a Scrum Master, your job is to help management and other stakeholders in your company understand the benefits of Scrum and Agile. Therefore, it is imperative that you have the information and background you need to gain credibility and be an effective change agent. Throughout the course, your PST will provide stories, exercises, facilitation techniques (e.g., Liberating Structures), resources, and more.
